Chiropractors
Chiropractic is neuro-musculoskeletal manipulation, especially of the spinal column, and is used for diagnosing, treating, and rehabilitating physical problems or diseases caused by or related to the neuro-musculoskeletal system.
Osteopaths
Osteopaths place chief emphasis on the importance of normal body mechanics and manipulative methods of detecting and correcting faulty structure.
Podiatry
Sports Podiatrists provide examination, diagnosis and treatment of the lower leg and foot, orthotic design, and sports footwear advice to improve the function of the lower limb. Sports Podiatrists work closely with other professionals working with athletes in their injury management and core stability work.
Sports Vision
Having a Sports Vision assessment is more extensive than a general eye examination and evaluates how you use your vision while moving and interacting with other objects and players. Testing will determine your sports-related needs but may include:- A light projection, which displays images in 3D.
Computerized tests that measure your reactions. Slides seen through a special viewer. Actual on-field measuring of your reactions to various sporting situations.
Sports Massage
Sports massage requires knowledge of the movements, injuries and training involved for team sports and individual athletes.
Specific techniques used in sports massage include deep tissue, longitudinal gliding, cross fibre, sustained myofascial tension, soft tissue release, ice massage, and stretching.
