Applying for a Scholarhip

If you are planning to study at any stage during 2010 you should contact your National Sport Organisation (NSO) for their eligibility criteria and deadline date.  To find details of your NSO click here

Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. You are encouraged to contact your Athlete Life Advisor to discuss your application BEFORE you apply

  1. Discuss your application with your Coach and Performance Planner (if you have one)
  2. Submit your application form via the online electronic form via the SPARC website http://www.sparc.org.nz/ accessed through the High Performance section (except for Gold Level Scholarships)

    NO HARD COPY APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED
    (except for gold level)

You will be notified in writing by the NZ Academy of Sport by 24th December.

New recipients to the Prime Minister’s Athlete Scholarship Programme
You will be assigned an Athlete Life Advisor. Your Athlete Life Advisor will be in contact with you prior to the start of the academic year and is there to help you integrate both your sporting and academic goals throughout the year.

Anti-doping Seminars
The NZASNI runs approximately 4 Anti-Doping seminars during the year for athletes in the North Island Region. To find out when the next Anti-doping seminar will be in your region contact Chris Kirman  for details.
